Giveaway Rooms is based in Worcester, England. It started life in March 2000 as a general budget travel site called Amazon Road.com. The site was relaunched in January 2002 as Giveaway Rooms.com

The Concept

Our aim is to provide the most unique access to the millions of dollars worth of hotel rooms which are left vacant every night. It is a fact that many hotels are prepared to give away a room for free, rather than leave it vacant. Why would they do this? Well, once you think it through, it starts to make sense.

Although the guest has not paid for the room, they will almost certainly be spending cash on meals, drinks, booking tours, telephone or internet access etc - and once they have received their free night or two, there is an excellent chance that they will stay on as a paying guest!

We plan to bring you as many of these free giveaways as possible - and there is no catch, I promise! There are no charges for you, or any hidden terms or conditions. It is the internets only genuine, free unconditional giveaway of accommodation to travellers.
